Just Popping In

George Washington Carver said "All learning is understanding relationship"

This is a powerful statement, this statement is simple but the core values are anything but simple. If you watched my Ted talk from last week then you will hear Ms. Rita say this exact statement. She goes onto say that you have to have a relationship with your kiddos. Ms. Rita inspired me to want to be a better teacher for all of my students until my last day when I retire. Everyone needs a relationship they can count on whether it is a parent, a fellow classmate, or a teacher. I want all of my children to know that I will have their back until the end of time. I want each and every one of you to succeed in life and accomplish your dreams.

I tend to fall in love with what I know a person can be. If I push you extra hard on assignments it is because I know you can do it. I know you have a brain and you know how to use it. I strive to do my best as your teacher everyday and to push you to become your best as well.

Ms. Rita told one of her fellow co-workers that " students don't learn from someone they don't like", I am not saying you will like me all the time (especially when we have a test) but we will get through it. In this classroom everyday is a new day and we will make it our best day.

I want to tell you a little story before I go..

When I was in college I started working at a daycare, I was switched from the 2 year old's to the 3 year old's. I fell in love with the 3's and how amazing they truly are and were. I had one kiddo that was challenging but I never gave up on him. Despite all the other teacher's opinions I made a promise to myself that no matter what I had to do he was going to succeed. I will make this exact same promise to each of you.

Have a great weekend and I will see you bright and early Monday morning!!
